Terms and Conditions

APPLICABLE TO PLATFORM MEMBERS (INDIVIDUALS NOT GROUPS) AND CASUAL USERS ONLY

Below are Auckland Badminton Association’s (hereinafter referred to as ABA) Terms and Conditions:

1 COURT BOOKINGS: PLATFORM MEMBERS (INDIVIDUALS)

a) Members may book only one court per hour.

b) Members may book courts no more than 14 days in advance.

c) The terms and conditions set out in Section Two: Platform Membership, of ABA’s general terms and conditions, also apply.

All types of members agree:

1) To follow and accept the terms and conditions regarding court bookings

2) To be kept informed with updated information from ABA

3) To keep court booking accounts in credit.

4) To provide and maintain true and accurate personal details on their platform court booking account.

5) That memberships are non-transferable.

1.1 AFFILIATED CLUB MEMBERS

1.1.1 Members may hold only one account receiving club membership court hire rates. Any other account in the member’s name will be charged the relevant court hire rates (community member or casual hire rates).

1.2 COMMUNITY MEMBERS (individuals)

1.2.1 Community memberships are renewable annually and are non-refundable.

1.3 ABA APPROVED COACHES

1.3.1 The conditions applying to ABA approved coaches’ will be in accordance with the individual contract between the coach and ABA.

2 COURT BOOKINGS: CASUAL FACILITY USERS

2.1 Casual court bookings must be paid for at the time of the booking.

2.2 Casual facility users should note that the terms and conditions set out in Section One (Facility Use and Customer Code of Conduct) of ABA’s general terms and conditions apply to them. Failure to adhere to the terms and conditions may result in a refusal to allow future court bookings.

3 COURT BOOKING CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

3.1 Cancellations and Refunds

ABA does not refund to credit cards.

a) To be eligible for a court booking refund, the court must be cancelled within 30 minutes of the time the court booking was made or 24 hours before the time of the court booking.

b) Court bookings made 30 minutes or fewer prior to the booking time will be non-refundable if the court booking is not cancelled by the start time of the court booking.

c) Court booking refund requests that do not meet the criteria set out in (a) or (b) above will be provided at the sole discretion of ABA management and may incur a 10% administration fee or $25, whichever is lower.

3.2 Platform Members

(Club Affiliated Members, Community Members and ABA Approved Coaches)

3.2.1 Credit account balances will not be refunded on expired community memberships that have been inactive for 12 months or more from the date of their commencement.

3.2.2 Refunds for credit account balances on active community memberships may be provided with a deduction of a 10% administration fee or $25, whichever is lower.

3.2.3 Where refund criteria have been met as set out in section 3.1 above, a refund will automatically be credited to the member account.

3.2.4 Where refund criteria have not been met as set out in section 3.1 above, if ABA in its discretion decides to provide a refund a member can elect to:

a. Rebook a court for the same value as the court being cancelled.

i. Part refunds will not be provided for rebooked courts at a lower value than the value of the cancelled court.

ii. An additional payment is required for rebooked courts at a higher value than the value of the cancelled court.

b. Request a credit note adjustment to be processed to their platform court booking account.

c. Request a refund into their nominated bank account.

3.3 Casual Facility Users

3.3.1 A casual facility user needing to cancel a court must contact the Pro Shop within 30 minutes of the time the court booking was made, or 24 hours before the time of the court booking. If the Pro Shop has not been contacted within the timeframes allowed, the customer will not be eligible to rebook a court without charge or to a refund of the court hire charge.

3.3.2 Where the refund criteria have been met as set out in 3.3.1 above, a casual facility user can elect to:

a) Rebook a court for the same value as the court being cancelled.

i. Part refunds will not be provided for rebooked courts at a lower value than the value of the cancelled court.

ii. An additional payment is required for rebooked courts at a higher value than the value of the cancelled court.

b) Request a refund into their nominated bank account.

4 ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Individual Platform members and Casual Users are, in addition to the above terms and conditions, also bound by Section One (1) and Section Five (5) of ABA’s General Terms and Conditions.

In agreeing to the terms and conditions set out above, Individual Platform Members and Casual Users are deemed also to have accepted the terms and conditions set out in Sections One and Five of the ABA’s General Terms and Conditions.
